After unfo night's reinstallation of It wasn't as simple as undo-ing a bunch of steps. It also reformatted some text into a new font, changed some section breaks to different types, moved the position of the abstract in the paper I was writing in a way that I couldn't change it back.
Then, magically, Word started behaving. It's done well since about AM today, though I don't know why. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. Click it; you can start the undo action. If there is no such a mark, it means you need to add it into your quick access toolbar. Click the rightmost arrow in the quick access toolbar, and choose the Undo item, then you will successfully add it into the quick access toolbar.
Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Please help. I have a Windows OS and it's operating on Windows 7. I'm not sure what else to do. I can't recall when the "undo" button stopped working, but it has been at least a month and a half now, and I cannot work without this feature. I do have Grammarly and acrobat add-ins, but again I disabled those.
